Shown in the photo is an example of the new ‘patent pending’ encasement design that is now available for general planting applications. The tree has completed the adaptation process, become self-supporting and independent of the encasement device.
The new device is designed to accelerate the adaptation process and the extension of aerial roots into the surrounding environment while maintaining an optimal level of protection for seedlings during the early stages of development. Additionally, the new device is designed as a temporary structure that can be removed from the environment following completion of the adaptation process.
Following extensive design review, the new cylindrical encasement device has demonstrated superiority in every aspect vis-à-vis the standard ASTM-2241 encasement.
